Derbyshire Towns & Business Forum
The Derbyshire Towns & Business Forum, brought to on behalf of Business Peak District and Derbyshire County Council, has been very successfully and regularly attended for four years, now entering a fifth year and it is still provided to you for free, thanks to the support of Derbyshire County Council and Business Peak District.
No business or place is an island. In recognition of our interdependence, businesses, place leaders, marketers, community organisations, local elected representatives, entrepreneurs, enthusiastic networkers, and people committed to creating a positive future for Derbyshire and the Peak District gather together three times a year.
In the beautiful surroundings of the Carriage House at Thornbridge Hall near the picturesque village of Ashford-on-the-Water up to 80 people spend an afternoon learning, sharing, informing, connecting, and discussing topics and issues of mutual interest.
What to expect at a Derbyshire Towns & Business Forum event
We start with an informal networking buffet lunch showcasing locally sourced ingredients, then sit down for a busy agenda which usually includes:
- Guest Speakers on topics requested by delegates
- A case study from a successful local business
- Interactive exercises to encourage networking and learning (and laughter)
- Top Tips from experts on everything from social media to new regulations
- Propositions for collaborative marketing and influencing local leadership
- And an Issues & Ideas Forum where experiences of challenges and solutions are shared
With our now famous ‘Cake Break’ to keep the energy high, and relaxed Thornbridge beer tasting at the end – all FREE – it is no surprise than many of the participants return again and again.
Remaining 2016 Event Dates:
All forums have now taken place.
Dates for 2017 still to be confirmed
The Forum is organised on a voluntary basis, normally three times each year, by two members of the team at peakinsight, Dina and Jean. We are also assisted greatly by, and so very grateful to, Jim Harrison and his family for the free use of our spectacular venue, which includes free on site parking.
If you would like to know more, offer to present, or to join us for the next Forum, please just get in touch to or join our Facebook page Derbyshire Towns & Business Forum and contact us there.
